Letter from Mr. Dupey

Dear CCS Family,

I wanted to address you with a relatively small update.

The area (District #271) and state wide districts have notated on Monday that they will continue their “soft approach” to education through the next several weeks to end the year.

This approach is utilizing packets that they send out along with computer and/ or zoom lessons. We are utilizing the same methods already.

All grades have access to the teachers by zoom, text, and email. We had already implemented an individualized instruction, at home, system prior to the district message. The district implemented this on Monday.

The individualized instruction method will indicate whether a student has met the requirements to pass the grade. Each teacher has the correct assessment for doing this.

All academic student needs can be met by the above procedures. Some testing will be done through the use of ZOOM. Some students may need extra instruction and guidance to complete the requirements.

We, as God’s people, are blessed in many, many ways. We have the opportunity, now, to help others in a myriad of situations. Many have noted that it is such a blessing that the time of year is April and NOT November!

Please make sure you have a scheduled morning for your child’s work. This system is ALWAYS more productive, as well as giving your child a feeling of accomplishment!

Letter from Mr. Dupey

Dear CCS family,

WOW.. we are busy. We have had scheduled times for everyone to come in Monday, April 6th. If you were not contacted, please call the school or your teacher.

The packets are ready and we are starting to do some ZOOM meetings as well. We are grading all the work now and filing results to show that your child is continuing on through the process and getting credit for the work that is being completed.

The “VIRUS” situation continues. We, as much as anyone, want to see the “normalcy” return. We need to all be patient, as well as, safe with this. We know that the possibility is that we may have some gaps in our curriculum, as time goes by.

I have communicated with the public school arena and hear similar things regarding instructing. They were not prepared for this and will have many learning gaps.

We will utilize early summer weeks to pick up gaps that students did not finish, if needed. This may be individualized by student progress.

It is very important that you communicate with your child’s teacher. You should have their phone number for texting, as well as their email for any questions your child may have.

We will all get through this. We hope that this stimulus package will help with financial needs that many have. Also, the small business grants and loans should help with hiring people back to work.

P R A Y E R is important. It is calming, uplifting and healthy for all of us. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you;my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

CCS Auction News

Wow, this is the first time we have ever had to postpone our annual AUCTION! As many of you know, this is a great time to get together and enjoy a meal together, review wonderful community packages, and support CCS.

SAFETY comes first. This virus has brought so MANY things to a sudden HALT.

We will be contacting you on a new date for this when it becomes available. At this time we are, of course, are cancelling the April 17th Auction date.

Hopefully, with answered prayer and national containment of the virus, we will resume this activity together in a few weeks.

Continue to prayer about the conditions we all have and remember, we are a team, a family working together to continue the education of your child. Pray for the safety and health of each other, all of your fellow family members, your staff here, school board and all the students as we go forward!

Things will work well as we go forward, completing the work we have set forth with all of our students.

Blessings to you!
Mr. D
